Well, are HR teams looking at the older workers again, since the pandemic subsided? I'm not sure...so maybe, but many older workers were let go from 2020-2023. Or maybe the 55+ folks are working part time jobs, because their savings dwindled with the high inflation and costs of living the past few years?

Maple syrup season is such a joy, especially with the awesome staff at Wehr Nature Center. In 2024, Wehr is celebrating its 50th Anniversary, and Maple Sugar Days is just part of a big year of events. I'll be at Maple Sugar Days this weekend - I hope to see you there!

Tune in to FOX6 Milwaukee, WITI-TV news tomorrow morning, Thursday, 7am-1030am, for a preview of Wehr Maple Sugar Days. Brian Kramp will be talking about maple syrup making with the staff at Friends of Wehr Nature Center, Inc. Oh, and don't forget, Maple Sugar Days are this Saturday and Sunday - visit the sugar bush and have some pancakes with real maple syrup. YUM!
