Poker legend Phil Ivey is on the brink of winning his first WSOP bracelet since 2014 after making the final three of the $10,000 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw Championship.
There were also two more bracelets awarded with Evan Benton and Alen Bakovic etching their names into poker history.
Evan Benton Wins Bracelet at Debut WSOP
Evan Benton is living his dream after claiming a WSOP gold bracelet in his debut series, only a year after learning how to play.
The young American triumphed in Event #28: $1,500 Freezeout No-Limit Hold’em to win a significant prize of $412,484.
Benton was put through the mill as he battled his way through the 2,317-entry field to arrive at the final table with a seriously short stack.
He defeated his fellow American Balakrishna Patur heads-up to claim the bracelet and a big step towards financial freedom.
Speaking after his win, Benton said:
“About a year and a few months ago, I just played with some friends and I was like, ‘man, this is kind of fun,’ and I just ran with it. I’m obsessed with it now. I play every day and study.”
Phil Ivey Ready to Make it 11 WSOP Bracelets
Phil Ivey is down to the final three in Event #29: $10,000 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw Championship.
The G.O.A.T hasn’t won at the WSOP since 2014 with a runner-up score last year being his best result since.
He’s up against Jason Mercier and Danny Wong with close chip counts making it tough to pick a favourite, but we know who the rail will be cheering for.

Alen Bakovic Takes Down $600 PLO/NLH Mix
Canada’s Alen Bakovic was the last man standing in Event #30: $600 Mixed: No-Limit Hold’em; Pot-Limit Omaha Deepstack.
The tournament smashed the attendance record with 3,351 entries, building a prize pool of $1,709,010.
Bakovic claimed to have only just learned PLO strategy even after playing poker for almost two decades, and he was absolutely beaming at the support he received from the rail, saying they made it easy for him.
David Coleman Sitting with Huge Chip Lead
David Coleman will return to the playing hall with a dominant chip lead in Event #31: $3,000 6-handed No-Limit Hold’em.
Six players remain in the tournament but two of them are barely hanging on and the other three have three to six times less chips than Coleman.
Michael Noori Leads a Tough final Nine in $1,500 Seven Card Stud
The final table of Event #32: $1,500 Seven Card Stud is promising us some fireworks as Michael Noori leads the way in his challenge for a second bracelet.

Multiple Bracelet Winners Left in PLO Deepstack

H.O.R.S.E is one of the more interesting events that sees plenty of old school players making the trek to Las Vegas.
Todd Brunson, son of poker legend Doyel Brunson, and John Hennigan are two such players and they’re both still in the hunt in Event #35: $1,500 H.O.R.S.E.
Australian Daniel Mayoh might have bagged the biggest stack last night, but there’s still a long way to go and it remains tight up top.
