Why Add Sweetened Condensed Milk

I don’t know about you, but I absolutely hate when my rice krispie treats become to hard to eat after only one day. By adding 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk to your recipe, your rice krispie treats will have an extra milky flavor, and will make your rice krispie treats stay soft for days. They are extra gooey and extra delicious. Once you make this recipe, you will never go back to the classic rice crispy treat recipe again!

Can You Freeze Rice Krispie Treats?

You sure can freeze Rice Krispies treats, allow them to cool completely, and cut them into individual servings. Then wrap each square in a piece of wax paper or plastic wrap. Then place them in a gallon-sized freezer bag or airtight container. They will say good in the freezer for up to 4 months.

I wanna ask how many big marshmallows equals 16oz?

About 3 cups of jumbo marshmallows will equal 16 oz. If you have a food scale, that is the best way to measure it out.

If you are going to package these for sale or an event or picnic or whatever, my favorite way to package is with a strip of parchment and then in plastic wrap. This keeps them looking nice and they don't get melted and stuck to the plastic. Well-wrapped, these really stay great for several days.

Why are my Rice Krispies so dense? ›

Why do my rice crispy treats get hard? The biggest reason people end up with hard Rice Krispie Treats is because they use high heat.
