Under the Sea Slime
How you play is totally up to you and your kids. I love open ended play that lets kids explore their creativity! We use ocean animas, sea shells, sand, and a fish bowl when we play.
Ocean Activity for Kids
The texture of this slime recipe is perfectly slimey with an almost translucent color. The see through color is perfect for seeing ocean animals in a more realistic, but fun ocean activity for all ages. Kids will probabaly spend the first while just exploring the slime as it sheets, flows, squishes, etc.
Ocean Activities
Now we like to add sea shells. It is fun to try various different shapes and sizes. You can burry them, make imprints, etc.
Slime Activity for Preschoolers
We add a wide assortment of ocean animals from sea stars, crabs, octopus, whales, fish, dolphins, sharks, and more!
Ocean Activities for Preschoolers
My kids love adding sand for the layered look, but remember the sand will start to embed in the slime so although that is a sensation and fun on it’s own – the pretty blue slime look will not last once you add some fun beach sand to the equation.
Another option to get the layered look is to put the pretty blue slime in the bowl with your sea creatures while leaving the sand and sa shells under the bowl. This gives kids the best of both worlds.
No matter how you play, you will love this engaging ocean activity for preschool and elementary age students to explore the amazing world of ocean animals!
Whether you use this along with a beach theme this summer or an ocean unit this winter, you will love this fun ocean scene project for kids of all ages!
