M43 for festivals / concerts

I really enjoy taking my PEN-F to music festivals - the weight and size is just perfect.

As well as the heat of the summer, the camera is on your body most of the day and also it is often very crowded and can be a bit of scrum to get anywhere near the stage front. Small and light is good.

For this situation I don't want anything bigger;M43 is perfect for this. I don't know why they don't push this as a selling point - festivals are a huge business in the UK now.

I have the Pany 20mm F/1.7 on the body and carry the Oly 40-150mm F/4-5.6 and this is a perfect setup for wandering round all day - very portable indeed.

The only issue I have is a bright lens for the performances in the evening. I have recently acquired the Oly 75mm F/1.8 and hope this works. In the past I have used adapted cine lenses with some success.

However I would like a bright, small, light lens around the 100mm mark, say a 100mm F/2.8. I know Panasonic produce a 35-100mm F/2.8 and I have tried 4 copies of this lens, all of which were not great at 100mm wide open, and had lots of glow. The Oly 40-150mm F/2.8 is just too cumbersome for me in the crowds.

So I'm still looking for a lightweight, bright, medium zoom. Any suggestions welcome!

Mike.
